Rose Horn Staff Scientist

Rose Horn has served as the Staff Scientist for the St. Andrew and St. Joseph Bays Estuary Program since May 2024. She brings experience in endangered and invasive species surveys, GIS, and the application of environmental programs that support ecosystem restoration and management. Rose earned her Master of Science in Environmental and Biological Sciences, with a focus on living shorelines, from Troy University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Science with concentration on Marine Biology and a double minor in Environmental Studies and Creative Writing from Eckerd College.
Having lived in eight different states, Rose has developed a deep appreciation for a wide range of wilderness areas—from coastal estuaries to mountain forests. She currently lives with her cat, Lola, and enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the Florida Panhandle.
