Upland Management Tides & Talks

Time: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Date: Sep 12, 2024
Where: Destination Panama City

On September 12th, we are looking beyond the bays of our watershed and focusing on upland management practices! We will be joined by Bay County Conservancy, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to discuss the importance of managing our upland habitats and current projects dedicated to protecting and restoring these vital ecosystems. From controlled burns to invasive species removal, we’ll explore how these efforts contribute to the overall health of our watershed including the bays, protect native wildlife, and ensure the resilience of our natural landscapes and communities.

About Tides and Talks:

Join us monthly for “Tides and Talks,” a dynamic community meeting hosted by the Estuary Program. Designed to engage both locals and visitors, these gatherings feature guest speakers from various community organizations who share their expertise on a range of relevant topics. From wildlife conservation to water quality, each session aims to educate and inspire participants while fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of our vital estuarine ecosystems. We encourage active participation and lively discussions, providing a platform for you to share your thoughts and feedback. Come be a part of the conversation and help us increase stewardship and protect our bays.
