Ashley White joins the St. Andrew and St. Joseph Bays Estuary Program as the new Technical Program Assistant

The St. Andrew and St. Joseph Bays Estuary Program at Florida State University Panama City has named Ashley White as the Technical Program Assistant. She began her role on March 25, 2024 and has quickly become an integral part of the Estuary Program team.

“I am thrilled to have Ashley on the team! She has a great attitude and will tackle any challenge you give her. She is always willing learn more and is great at determining areas to increase efficiency,” said Jessica Graham, PhD, executive director of St. Andrew and St. Joseph Bay Estuary Program. “She comes to the program with diverse experience outside of the ecological field and brings a unique perspective and program management experience.”

The Estuary Program, a partnership encompassing multiple sectors across the entire St. Andrew Watershed, is hosted by FSU PC. The initial establishment has been funded by The Nature Conservancy and Bay County and it continues through the acquisition of competitive grants.

Ashley earned her B.S. in Project Management from Northwest Florida State College and MBA at the American Military University. “Ashley has been instrumental in organizing our grant program and ensuring our operations run smoothly on the day-to-day.” Graham said. Ashley comes to the area most recently from California but has lived throughout the nation with her husband currently stationed at Tyndall Airforce Base.

The St. Andrew and St. Joseph Bays Estuary Program mission is to collaborate — as representatives of private, public, and non-governmental stakeholders — to improve the common sense, science-based understanding of the needs of the estuary and to develop, promote and implement projects that protect and restore the health of the bays.

Ashley will be assisting in the program operations that often occur behind the scenes yet are critical to the success of our Program and ensuring grants are managed and deliverables effective for our partners while we work together to implement the goals and actions in the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP), the guide for how to Protect and Restore our Bays Together.
