1st Annual 5K and Kids’ Fun Run!
When: Saturday September 28th, 2024
Where: 100 Conservation Park, Panama City Beach, FL
The 5K for the Bays is more than just a run; it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our local environment. This event directly benefits the St. Andrew & St. Joseph Bay Estuary Program, with all proceeds going towards our efforts to protect and restore the beautiful and vital estuarine ecosystems of the St. Andrew and St. Joseph Bays.

The 5K for the Bays will occur on the last day of National Estuaries Week. This is a fun way to close out a week of appreciation for our estuary and natural resources by running through Conservation Park that was created to rehydrate wetlands using the City of Panama City Beach’s reclaimed water. The City employes forestry management practices and wetland protection that will have lasting benefits to the St. Andrew Bay. Proceeds benefit the St. Andrew and St. Joseph Bays Estuary Program.
Race cost: $25
Race Registration Hours: 7:30 – 8:30 am
Early Bib Pick-up: September 26 & 27 from 10 am – 5 pm at Minutes and Miles (228 Harrison Ave. #104, Panama City, FL 32401).
Register by September 1 to get a shirt!
Park amenities: Parking and public restrooms located at trailhead building, picnic tables, and pavilions.
Dogs are permitted but must be leashed. Limit 2 dogs per person.
This run is a trail run and will take you over the marsh and through the woods with well groomed trails and boardwalks and even some paved areas. The route is stroller friendly with some extra care taken to avoid one or two roots along the way. Volunteers will be placed along the route to guide you along your run/walk!
